The prosecution denies claims that its initiatives to question new witnesses in the inquiry into the murder of two reservists in 2004 are obstructing the trial. Speaking to B92, Acting Public Prosecutor Slobodan Radovanovic dismissed claims that the measures were obstructing the trial. Prosecution dismisses claims of "obstruction" It comes after the Belgrade District Prosecution proposed that individuals who worked in the Karas military facility in Topcider in October 2004 should be questioned in relation to the deaths of reservists Dragan Jakovljevic and Drazen Milovanovic. “What’s important is to stress that from the outset, we’ve gone with the suspicion that what took place here was murder. It’s important that the public and the victims’ families should know that in cases with a fatal outcome, the prosecution works on the basis that murder may have taken place.”
