The government will hold a cabinet meeting on Thursday to debate the 2009 draft budget. Until then, committees and ministries will be working intensively on harmonizing the draft. Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said yesterday that there could be changes to the draft, but he did not state which ministries would be affected. He said that the macro-framework would not change and that the deficit in the budget would be about 1.5 percent of gross domestic product.
