“Peace in Kosovo vital for whole region”

NATO Secretary-General Deputy Assistant Larry Rossin says that peace and stability in Kosovo are vital for the region. "Kosovo’s peace and stability are significant factors in the region. That is why KFOR is here to provide a peaceful environment for all Kosovo’s citizens,” Rossin said after meeting Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu in Pristina. “Peace in Kosovo vital for whole region” He said that NATO would remain in Kosovo for as long as necessary, while Sejdiu praised the Alliance’s contribution to stability in the province. "KFOR’s constant work and engagement for peace and stability in Kosovo has earned the respect of all Kosovo’s citizens,” Seidiu said, highlighting Rossin’s own great contribution as deputy chief of the UN Mission in Kosovo. Currently, there are around 16,000 KFOR members in Kosovo whose task is to guarantee peace and stability for all.
