Rasim Ljajic says that “activities on a literally daily basis” are underway to find Hague indictees Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic. The chairman of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal also said that Mladic and Radovan Karadzic were not in contact over the last years. "Karadzic, Mladic were not in contact" Pointing out that the main obstacle on Serbia's road towards the EU has to be removed, when asked who is hiding Mladic, Ljajic told the daily Danas that no state structure has any part in this, and that very few people know the former Bosnian Serb military leader's whereabouts. Announcing efforts to trace Mladic as soon as possible, he said that it is “a race against time,” since Chief Hague Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be visiting Belgrade mid-November – his last visit before he submits a repot to the UN Security Council. Ljajic also said that there is no possibility to improve cooperation other than Mladic's handover.
