Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac met in Belgrade today with Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Konuzin. Sutanovac said after the meeting that "there was a lot of room for promoting cooperation in the field of defense between the two states, primarily in the military education and military economy". Serbia, Russia to promote defense ties During the meeting, the two officials voiced identical positions stressing the need to reaffirm international law in bilateral relations, the Defense Ministry said in a statement. It was said that "Serbia can count on Russia's support in the efforts to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity using political and diplomatic means", the statement said.
