Former president of the Islamic Community of Kosovo, Rexhep Boja, told Al-Jazeera TV that he urges all Arab countries to recognize Kosovo. In a 50-minute program dedicated to Kosovo, Boja called on Arab countries “not become victims of the political pressure of Serbia and Russia”, who are disputing the legitimacy of Kosovo’s independence proclamation. Albanian mufti urges Arab recognitions The mufti called on investors from that part of the world to spend in Kosovo and to help in its economic development, stating that Kosovo is “a free and safe country”. Kosovo has thus far been recognized by 47 states, six of which are members of Organization of the Islamic Conference, but none from the Arab world.
