The European Commission report on Serbia’s progress in 2008 will be negative, Belgrade daily Danas writes. The document states that Serbia failed to progress in many areas since last year’s report, the newspaper claims. On the other hand, the body that gives a negative or positive opinion on the report is the College of the Commissioners of the 27 EU member-states. They will state their opinion after the EC presents its Serbia document to the public. Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn will then give oral suggestions to Serbian government on the action it needed to undertake to speed-up the EU accession process.
