The Foreign Ministry has received Bosnia’s request to appoint a new ambassador to Belgrade. Beta news agency has learnt from sources in the cabinet of the foreign minister that the Bosnian request is being processed. Bosnian ambassador request received Sarajevo media reported that Serbia had not responded to the request of Bosnia-Herzegovina to appoint a new ambassador to Belgrade, which, in diplomatic practice, was considered to be a negative response. "The Foreign Ministry has received the request of Bosnia-Herzegovina to appoint a new ambassador to Belgrade. The request is now being processed,” the minister’s cabinet told the agency, but did not want to comment on the speculation in the Sarajevo press. Sarajevo daily Dnevni Avaz inferred that Serbia did not want to approve Bosko Arnaut , “appointed by the Bosniak member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Haris Silajdzic.” The daily also stated that Bosnia-Herzegovina did not have an ambassador in Serbia, “a country that Bosnia-Herzegovina has significant economic ties with, and is a signatory of the Dayton Accords.”
