The police are still to establish the circumstances of the recent alleged assault on two Roma, MUP have told B92. The procedure to establish the circumstances surrounding the possible violation of authority by three police officers in Kursumlija is still under way, say MUP. "Assault on Roma still unresolved" The two Roma, brothers Toni and Ivica Jovanovic, have filed charges against the three officers, alleging that they were assaulted whilst in custody in the police station. The two brothers were taken in for questioning on suspicion of theft, and they claim that the policemen assaulted them and forced them to confess to stealing a water guage. In the meantime, although the two real culprits were caught, the Jovanovic brothers claim that they still had to report to the police for an "informative discussion".

The two Roma, brothers Toni and Ivica Jovanović, have filed charges against the three officers, alleging that they were assaulted whilst in custody in the police station.
