Swedish FM Carl Bildt says he is confident an EU interim trade deal with Serbia will be activated “very soon”. However, Bildt added that the ratification of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) will take place only after Hague indictee Ratko Mladic is arrested as well. “SAA ratification only after Mladic arrest” “Over the next few days, attempts will be made to activate the Interim Agreement. That will be the main topic at the meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU member-states in Brussels next Tuesday." "However, more will be required for the ratification of the SAA than the arrests of ICTY indictees Radovan Karadzic and Stojan Zupljanin,” Bildt said in an interview with the Novi Sad daily Dnevnik published on Saturday.
