Speaker Slavic Djukic-Dejanovic has called an urgent parliamentary session for June 30, where laws on ministries and the government will be on the agenda. Amendments and annexes to the Law on the Government imply the introduction of a first deputy prime minister, which has not thus far been part of existing law, B92 understands from parliament. Another new feature is the introduction of rights, a so-called “golden vote“, which means that in the event of the cabinet having an even number of places, the prime minister’s vote will count double. Under the draft law on ministries, the new government will have 24 ministries. The new ministries are for the environment and spatial planning, while the Human and Minority Rights Ministry makes a return having been scrapped after the federal state collapsed. The law also envisages the existence of a Kosovo Ministry. The new government will also have a Minister without Portfolio, and Beta understands that Prime Minister-elect Mirko Cvetkovic will hand this role to Bosniak list representative Bajram Omeragic. Under the draft law on ministries, the new cabinet will have the following ministries: Foreign Affairs; Defense; Internal Affairs; Finance; Justice; Agriculture; Forestry and Water Management; Economy and Regional Development; Mining and Energy; Infrastructure; Public Administration and Local Self-Government; Trade and Services; Science and Technological Development; Education; Youth and Sports; Health; Telecommunications and Information Society; Labor and Social Policy; Environment and Spatial Planning; Culture; National Investment Plan; Kosovo; Religion; Diaspora; and Human and Minority Rights.
