UN mediator in the Macedonia “name” dispute Matthew Nimetz has proposed three names for the former Yugoslav republic, writes Greek daily Elefteros Tipos. According to the daily, Nimetz has proposed the following names: “Northern Macedonia”, “Upper Macedonia”, and “Vardar Macedonia”. Three name proposals for Macedonia Nimetz is also scheduled to meet in Athens today with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, although it is not known whether the subject of their talks will be the name proposals, reports the Macedonian MIA agency. After the meeting, Nimetz will travel to Skopje where he is due to meet tomorrow with Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.

Nimetz is also scheduled to meet in Athens today with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, although it is not known whether the subject of their talks will be the name proposals, reports the Macedonian MIA agency.
