Milos Aligrudic, DSS, noted that invitations for the session were not sent to MPs, and added it was "rude" that they learned about it via the media. SRS deputy leader Tomislav Nikolic presented similar complaints, and said Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic's candidature was only submitted to the lawmakers shortly before parliament convened today. The Democratic Party (DS) and G17 Plus today both supported SPS official Djukic-Dejanovic’s nomination for the post of speaker, the DS said in a statement earlier in the day. On the basis of the agreement reached between the DS-led five party “For a European Serbia” list, and the coalition gathered around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Djukic -Dejanovic was due to be elected speaker at today's resumption of parliament’s constitutive session. 192 MPs were attending the session.
