President of the League of Vojvodina Hungarians Istvan Pastor says it is almost certain that he will become Subotica’s new mayor. At the same time, Pastor denied the speculation that he would be presiding over the Vojvodina assembly. "The problem is the current stagnation," he said, adding that he has not had any contact with other parties regarding the setting up of local or provincial governments in two weeks. Pastor said that the Hungarian Coalition needn't be a direct participator in the future Serbian government, stressing that the coalition sees itself currently only as a part of the parliamentary majority, "provided that the majority is pro-European".
