The Belgrade District Court's War Crimes Chamber has sentenced three defendants in the Zvornik war crimes trial to a total of 31 years in prison. Dragan Slavkovic, Ivan Korac, and Sinisa Filipovic received prison sentences of 15, 13, and three years respectively, while a fourth defendant, Dragutin Dragicevic, was cleared of all the charges. 31 years for Zvornik war crimes The defendants were accused of committing war crimes against Bosniak civilians from May to June 1992 at the Celopek community center, and in two other places known as “ekonomija” and “ciglana”. When the trial started in late 2005, then head of the temporary government in Zvornik Branko Grujic and territorial defense commander Branko Popovic were also among the accused. However, the court decided in May, at the proposal of the prosecution, to try these two separately, because “a separate inquiry into new war crimes committed in a different location is being conducted against them.”
