U.S. Ambassador Roderick Moore denies that his country is exerting pressure on Montenegro to recognize Kosovo's unilateral independence. "We are not pressing Montenegro to recognize Kosovo," Moore said in an interview for the Podgorica daily Dan. U.S. ambassador: No pressure on Podgorica "We respect Montenegro as a sovereign state, as our precious partner, and it should decide for itself what to do," the U.S. ambassador was quoted as saying. Moore added that is embassy has regular communication with Montenegro's government and opposition parties, including on the subject of Kosovo.
