Two teargas canisters were thrown yesterday at the house of a local leader of war veterans near Zitoradja, southern Serbia. No one was injured in the incident that took place in Goran Radulovic's home, but material damage was reported. War vet's home attacked with teargas An unidentified perpetrator came into the yard of the house and threw one bomb onto the balcony. After that, another was thrown at the entrance of the house. The family of four was inside at the time. "The smoke, the stench, the teargas… no one could get inside. We opened up all the windows,” Radulovic said. Motives for this incident remain unknown, but the leader of the local striking committee believes it may have to do with the veterans' demands to be paid their overdue war wages. Radulovic said he received anonymous threats on several occasions. "I have never been involved in politics, nor have I ever been interested in it. I was just fighting for my rights, along with people from Kursumlija. I have given them support all the time, because I knew that those people were simply trying to achieve their rights, and that’s all there is to it”, Radulovic said. Police officers found two bomb fuses at the scene, along with traces they believe belong to the attacker.
