The accident took place last evening, near the village of Rabrovac, south of Belgrade. An accident at the same crossing ten days ago claimed another life, when a train hit a passenger car. The impact of the collision late Sunday threw the car ten meters off the railroad tracks, witnesses at the scene said. The railroad line was closed for over four hours as medical and police teams conducted their investigation.

The driver of the car, identified as Mališa Popović, with his wife and their two children as passengers, attempted to cross the railroad at the illegal, unsecured spot.

An accident at the same crossing ten days ago claimed another life, when a train hit a passenger car.
