At one point during his speech yesterday, Tadić urged the Democrats to support his intention to enter a coalition with the Socialists (SPS), a party founded and led by late Slobodan Milošević.

In reference to that, and the former DS leader Zoran Đinđić, assassinated in 2003, Tadić said that both the Democrats and the Socialists are faced with the fact that their leaders "are not with them, and that both have their pain".
