Serbia's ambassador to Podgorica says he expects Montenegrin students to receive the same treatment as their Serbian colleagues next year. "Many people took my words as heralding another blow to the Serbian tax payer, but I don’t think of it as anything harmful to Serbia, rather as a sort of an investment in better relations between Serbia and Montenegro,” Lutovac explained. He added that he expected such an initiative to be launched soon by either Podgorica or Belgrade. Lutovac said that Serbia was interested in using the building of its former consulate in Cetinje as a cultural center. "No-one has to give the Serbian consulate building in Cetinje to us, as, according to all the documents, it’s Serbia’s property. Serbia is keen to use that building for cultural purposes. Whether it will be a cultural center or some other sort of institution that would be sending messages with a cultural context, or where receptions could be held, I don’t know. The only thing I know for certain is that the building will be put to use,” the ambassador stressed. He announced that by the beginning of July, the Serbian embassy would start carrying out consular work, and that it would move to central Podgorica. The ambassador himself is currently residing at the Podgorica hotel.
