NGO Women in Black claims that there will be no restoration and renewal of the distorted values system in Serbia without facing up to her criminal past. Without facing up to crimes, there will be no regional stability. NGO calls on Serbia "to face up to past" In a press release to mark May 24, the International Day of Women’s Campaigning for Peace and Disarmament as well as the commemoration of Bosniaks killed in Visegrad to be held this Sunday, Women in Black have called on those who ordered and perpetrated the crimes to be brought to justice. The Women in Black organization will attend the commemoration of 3,000 Bosniaks who were slaughtered in Visegrad during the Bosnian war to pay their respects and express solidarity with the victims’ families, the press release states. The Association of Families of Missing Persons and Civilian Victims of the Aggression are organizing the commemoration. It is stated that those crimes were perpetrated by the Visegrad Brigade of the Republika of Srpska Army, under the command of the Uzice Corps of the Yugoslav Army (VJ), pointing to the direct involvement of the Serbian regime at the time. "The main responsibility for that and other crimes committed in eastern Bosnia is in the hands of the Slobodan Milosevic regime and Serbia”, states the press release. Women in Black claim that even after Milosevic’s overthrow, there is still insufficient political will to face up to these crimes.
