Velimir Ilic says that any chance of a post-election deal with the Democrats (DS) disappeared with their decision to sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement. Ilic, whose New Serbia (NS) is allied with Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica's Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), said that their so-called People's Coalition will seek a partner to form the next government in the Radicals (SRS). Ilic: Next cabinet with Radicals In an interview with the tabloid Press published today, the outgoing infrastructure minister said that "as far as NS is concerned, the signing of the SAA means the end of any cooperation with them [DS]." "Our condition is that post-election coalitions cannot be negotiated with traitors who violate the constitution and sell out Kosovo and Metohija," Ilic continued. He added that talks with other parties, primarily those who wish to preserve Kosovo as a part of Serbia, will take place after the elections. "The Radicals, why not. We can keep Kosovo and Metohija in Serbia with them," Ilic told the daily. Serbians will go to the polls a week from today, on May 11, to elect the new parliament, whose majority will vote in the next cabinet. Velimir Ilic (FoNet)
