Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci says the Kosovo institutions will be fully committed to shedding light on the fate of people listed missing since 1999. “We will, together with international representatives, be fully involved in finally shedding light on the fate of all the missing. Everyone in Kosovo shares the pain and concern of the families of missing persons,” said Thaci at a ceremony to mark Missing Persons Day in Djakovica yesterday. The families of missing persons from Djakovica, of which there is the biggest number throughout Kosovo, said that they hoped that this problem would be solved soon. “We hope that the first year of Kosovo as an independent state will also be the year that that issue is definitively addressed,” said Haki Kasumi of the Association of Missing Persons’ Families in Kosovo.
