Leader of the Self-Determination movement Albin Kurti says Kosovo has the capacity, but not the will, to block Serbian elections, writes Koha Ditore. “They (the institutions) could prevent them. They can close the borders to the Serbian electoral commission, they can deny them access to public buildings that they plan to use as polling stations,” Kurti told citizens during a recent visit to Malisevo, writes the Pristina daily. "Kosovo organs should block Serbian elections" He also announced the possibility of further talks between Pristina and Belgrade. “There is a chance that after the elections, when Serbian leaders receive legitimacy, a new round of talks will be organized between Pristina and Belgrade,“ said Kurti, according to Koha Ditore. The Self-Determination leader added that “Kosovo is moving towards cantonization, and turning into a new Bosnia-Hercegovina.“ “We mustn’t allow a Republic of Srpska in the eastern part of Kosovo, while in the northern part, it could be said that one already exists. Serbia is trying, via these elections, to create another in the east of Kosovo,“ warned Kurti. The Self-Determination movement announced that it would be holding a protest on May 9 in Pristina, and called on Kosovo’s citizens to come out in force. Last year, the movement organized a number of protests because of the talks between Pristina and Belgrade, demanding that the Kosovo question be settled according to the principle of self-determination.“
