Dulić urges IPU to back Serbia's integrity

Parliament speaker Oliver Dulic, DS, Monday asked the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly members to pass a resolution in support of Serbia's integrity. The document would also "support international law and reaffirm the sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Serbia, which would show that international law had to be observed", Dulic said. Dulic urges IPU to back Serbia's integrity "By adopting the draft resolution, the IPU Assembly will send a clear message that observation of international law is necessary for preserving international peace and stability," Dulic said at the IPU Assembly in Cape Town, South Africa. "This resolution will reaffirm the commitment to the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and need to find a peaceful and mutually acceptable solution for the issue of Kosovo-Metohija through negotiations," he said. The IPU Assembly in Cape Town held April 13-16 is the largest meeting in the history of the organization, and is attended by as many as 130 countries.
