Almost all the newspapers today report about yesterday's visit to Mladjan Dinkic's home in Belgrade. ALO—"Jocic depressed", the tabloid speculates about the state of mind of Interior Minister Dragan Jocic, who was seriously injured in a car crash more than two months ago. Press: Dinkic, middle class man "Dinkic barters with Maja and Palma", says that a "post-election" coalition between G17 Plus, now allied with the Democrats (DS) in this pre-election time, is possible with former Radical Maja Gojkovic, and former Arkan ally Dragan Markovic, also known as Palma. BLIC—The troubled concession for the construction of the Horgos-Pozega highway has, according to the newspaper, ran into fresh problems: "Ministers quarrel over highway, start of [construction] works postponed". More on Mladjan Dinkic, who yesterday invited reporters to his apartment in order to refute claims that his participation in three consecutive cabinets has made him a rich man: "Dinkic: I belong in middle class". The wife of slain Judge Dragisa Cvejic is also quoted on the front page, "Murderer stalked us for month and a half". BORBA—"Kosovo like two Koreas", the paper reports that the EU and the United States are searching for ways to have the southern Serbian province admitted to the UN. "Strict conditions keep buyers away", is about the failed tender to sell Genex property on Mt. Kopaonik. VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Partition only solution", former Russian PM Yevgeny Primakov is interviewed – details here. "I live modestly, I am no thief", Mladjan Dinkic is quoted. "Jocic returns to Serbia", says that Interior Minister Dragan Jocic will continue his treatment in the country after spending several weeks in Switzerland. GAZETA—"Dinkics invite Toma and Vucic to coffee", a new angle of the Dinkic apartment story: the paper says the leader of G17 Plus invited over the two top SRS officials, Tomislav Nikolic and Aleksandar Vucic. The latter said he will show up once he's elected Belgrade mayor, the daily explains on the front page. GLAS JAVNOSTI—Serbia's army chief, Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponos, commented on U.S. President George Bush's decision to send weapons to the Kosovo Albanians: "Harmful move, but no armed threat". The EU seems to be unhappy with China, and so the newspaper reports, "EU readies boycott of Olympics!" "Secrets of safes and accounts", more speculation about assets and property left behind by late Belgrade Mayor Nenad Bodganovic. DANAS—More Dinkic on the front page: "I am middle class". Another article looks into millions – of dinars, apparently spent by state institutions on office paper: "Recycling obligatory only for confidential documents". "Kosovo will not join IMF or World Bank in near future", opined University of Georgetown professor Don Wallace. KURIR—Away from the modesty displayed by Mladjan Dinkic, Bozidar Djelic is quoted as saying, "I earned millions of euros". "We all know who Nenad Bodganovic was", City Manager Bojan Stanojevic is quoted refuting claims that the late mayor's bank accounts contain millions. POLITIKA—"Belgrade accused of partitioning Kosovo", the lead article says, reporting that the leading global newspapers have interpreted a cooperation plan sent to UNMIK from Belgrade as a call for the partition of the province. "Hillary Clinton's Bosnian oversight", is about the embarrassing statement by the U.S. Democratic Party presidential hopeful yesterday. "Dinkic: I am as honest as Kostunica", says the G17 Plus leader, who is also the outgoing minister of economy. PRESS—"Jocic to undergo surgery in Russia", another report about the minister of the interior says.
