Kosovo Serbs held a large rally in northern Kosovska Mitrovica Tuesday. They called on official Belgrade to sever diplomatic relations with Albania and to impose a boycott on Croatian and Slovenian goods. Kosovo Serbs want Russians back in province The rally was held under the slogan "Stop to Terror, No to a NATO State - Independent Kosovo." Serb National Council of Northern Kosovo President Milan Ivanovic addressed the protesters, to say that an end to diplomatic relations with Albania was in order "because that is where the mass graves of kidnapped Serbs from Kosovo ad Metohija are located." He was referring to the claims made by the former chief Hague prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte. Ivanovic also asked that Russian peacekeeping troops be returned to the Serb-populated areas of Kosovo, and that the Status-of-Forces Agreement (SOFA) on the status of United States (U.S.) forces in Serbia should be revoked. "In the event the violence repeats in Kosovo," he said, "the Serbian security forces should be deployed along the administrative line with the southern province." Ivanovic also thanked Serbian swimmer Milorad Cavic, who he said opted for a whole Serbia "when faced with choosing between a whole Serbia and a European medal". The protest rally was attended by several thousand Serbs and it passed without any incidents. The rally was held under the slogan "Stop to Terror, No to a NATO State - Independent Kosovo."

Serb National Council of Northern Kosovo President Milan Ivanović addressed the protesters, to say that an end to diplomatic relations with Albania was in order "because that is where the mass graves of kidnapped Serbs from Kosovo ad Metohija are located."

He was referring to the claims made by the former chief Hague prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte.

Ivanović also asked that Russian peacekeeping troops be returned to the Serb-populated areas of Kosovo, and that the Status-of-Forces Agreement (SOFA) on the status of United States (U.S.) forces in Serbia should be revoked.
