At a session last night, the Democratic Party (DS) decided to enter a coalition with G17 Plus, the SDP, the LSV, and SPO. The DS will stand at the May elections on a joint ticket with G17 Plus, the Sandzak Democratic Party (SDP), the League of Vojvodina Social Democrats (LSV) and the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO). The joint list of five parties will only be formed for the parliamentary elections, while at the local and provincial ballot, the DS will stand in a coalition or independently. The DS presidency last night chose as the head of the party’s election headquarters Marko Djurisic, who was also in charge of Boris Tadic’s presidential election campaign. The presidency also adopted the list of the party’s candidates for seats in parliament. Official information as to the distribution of mandates between the parties on the “For a European Serbia—Boris Tadic“ list will be published after the inter-party deal is signed.

At last night’s session, it was decided that the joint list of “democratic and pro-European parties" would be called “For a European Serbia—Boris Tadić“.

The joint list of five parties will only be formed for the parliamentary elections, while at the local and provincial ballot, the DS will stand in a coalition or independently.

The DS presidency last night chose as the head of the party’s election headquarters Marko Đurišić, who was also in charge of Boris Tadić’s presidential election campaign.

The presidency also adopted the list of the party’s candidates for seats in parliament.
