An ethnic Albanian party in the south says the Albanian ambassador supports their participation in elections. Serbia is organizing a snap parliamentary vote on May 11. "Albanian ambassador backs participation in polls" Now, the Party of Democratic Action, PDJ, and its leader and Bujanovac municipal president Nagip Arifi told Beta news agency that he met with Albania's ambassador to Serbia Spiro Koci. Koci on the occasion said that "Albania supports participation of Albanian parties from Bujanovac and Presevo in the Serbian elections". "We discussed other issues as well with Ambassador Koci, but one was the coming parliamentary elections and we got support for participating," Arifi was quoted. Another PDJ official, Saip Kamberi, said that his party will "also consult with Pristina" on the issue. The PDJ and the Democratic Union are represented in the parliament by Riza Halimi.

Now, the Party of Democratic Action, PDJ, and its leader and Bujanovac municipal president Nagip Arifi told Beta news agency that he met with Albania's ambassador to Serbia Spiro Koci.

Koci on the occasion said that "Albania supports participation of Albanian parties from Bujanovac and Preševo in the Serbian elections".

"We discussed other issues as well with Ambassador Koci, but one was the coming parliamentary elections and we got support for participating," Arifi was quoted.

Another PDJ official, Saip Kamberi, said that his party will "also consult with Priština" on the issue.

The PDJ and the Democratic Union are represented in the parliament by Riza Halimi.
