The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) reacted to Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic's comments. The adviser to Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, Branislav Ristivojevic, said today Djelic's statement that Kostunica decided to bring down the government because he backed down from leading the country into the European Union, indicates that the Democratic Party election campaign will be "the worst form of propaganda." DSS: Democrats set for "worst kind of propaganda" Ristivojevic, DSS, underlined that "Djelic knows full well that the policy of Vojislav Kostunica is that Serbia should pursue European integrations together with Kosovo and Metohija.” A confirmation of this policy in the elections will open up talks between the new Serbian government and the EU to resume European integrations together with Kosovo as an integral part of Serbia, Ristivojevic pointed out in a statement sent to Tanjug news agency this afternoon. He added that Serbia "has for years been adopting European laws and a European state was being built, so that it may not be possible, as is the case with Djelic, to make 11 million euros overnight." "It is a fact that Djelic did not make 11 million euros while he lived in the EU, in France, and it is a fact that after his first ministerial mandate he reported earnings in that amount while in Serbia," Ristivojevic said, if reference to lingering accusations against Djelic. Ristivojevic added that the DS "will not be concerned with politics but with marketing and the worst form of propaganda" in its election campaign.
