Peter Feith says he is opposed to a partitioning of Kosovo and that multi-ethnic integration must be achieved. “This country is not even allowed to experience a ’soft’ partition,“ the EU Special Representative to Kosovo told the Financial Times. The Financial Times states that the veteran Dutch diplomat could take his place as the international civil representative in Kosovo as early as next week, on condition that the EU and the U.S. are able to convince UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to transfer authority from UNMIK to EULEX without the approval of Russia.
