Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met with a delegation of Serbs from Kosovo in Belgrade today. The meeting was also attended by his cabinet ministers, including Slobodan Samardzic, Velimir Ilic, Dusan Petrovic, Zoran Loncar and Radomir Naumov. Kostunica meets with Kosovo Serbs "Serbia has decided to in advance, and for all time, annul the illegal declaration of independence of a false state on its territory," a statement after the meeting said. This is the basis of the state and national program that Belgrade has for its southern province post-Feb. 17, it added. "The united state and national policy that has been expressed must secure safe and normal living conditions for all the resident in the province of Kosovo and Metohija who are loyal to the state of Serbia, and all should therefore continue to live in their homes," Kostunica was quoted as saying during the meeting. The Kosovo Serbs are full-fledged and equal citizens of Serbia, and they must be fully integrated into the constitutional and legal system of the country, the meeting agreed. The state's more intensive presence in the province will also be seen in investments from the budget, aimed at creating jobs, the statement said. Regular meetings will from now on be held with the representatives of the province's state and social institutions, the statement concluded.
