Serb Radical Party (SRS) deputy leader Tomislav Nikolic says he sees no reason to meet with President Boris Tadic. Nikolic told Radio Belgrade 202 that he had also dismissed the possibility of supporting the Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia coalition. Nikolic rules out meeting with president “There really is no point in supporting those who are uncertain of their voter base, those who I offered support to in time, in good time, before they chose the other option. I think that’s absolutely impossible under any circumstances,” said the SRS deputy leader. Following Tadic's invitation to meet and talk about the stable functioning of institutions, as well as the need for a joint position on crime and corruption, he said he saw no reason for such a meeting. “I don’t know what I’d talk with Tadic about today. We exchanged congratulations after the elections, and that’s the only contact you can expect between us in the near future,“ said Nikolic. The SRS deputy leader said that the president would be better off talking to his coalition partners. “There’s no problem with government-opposition relations, but with relations within the government itself. Until that situation is cleared up, until we see what’s going to happen with Serbia in the future, with Kosovo, I have nothing to talk to Tadic or (Prime Minister Vojislav) Kostunica about,” he explained.
