KPS spokesman Veton Elshani says the situation in Kosovo is stable on the day of the Serbian elections. Elshani said that the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) had not taken any special security measures at polling stations, though it was ready to react in the event of any incidents. KPS: Kosovo stable on election day “We aren’t securing polling stations, but we will always react immediately should any problems or excesses arise,” the KPS spokesman explained. There are 114,033 voters registered in Kosovo who can vote at 277 polling stations. The KPS is otherwise on high alert as the expected declaration of Kosovo independence moves ever nearer.
