The head with the Serbian delegation at the Council of Europe says that the latest Kosovo draft is inconsequential. Milos Aligrudic (DSS) told Tanjug news agency today that the draft Kosovo resolution tabled by British Lord Russell-Johnston "can have no consequences in practice." Serbia downplays CoE draft resolution Aligrudic stressed that, "apart from its unpleasant tone," the document can have no consequences. "Serbia recognizes only the United Nations Security Council as the institution that can discuss Kosovo." "This resolution is unacceptable, but recommendations can be accepted because they pertain to the state of human rights," Aligrudic said ahead of his departure for the winter session of the CoE's Parliamentary Assembly in Strasbourg. The future status of Kosovo is one of the main topics of the winter session, which starts Monday. The CoE will Tuesday consider the draft resolution which urges the United Nations Security Council to "overcome existing differences and to impose a solution for the status of that Serbian southern province."
