Oliver Dulic said Sunday local and provincial elections will likely be called by December 31. The date, Beta news agency reported, is the deadline set by the law. Local, provincial elections to be called by Dec. 31 In a statement to the agency, Dulic said that he will discuss the matter with representatives of the other ruling parties and opposition next week. Dulic went on to say that on Dec. 26-27, Parliament will debate the draft legislation necessary for these elections to take place. A session scheduled for Dec. 28 will focus on Kosovo. "The moment the laws necessary for these elections are published in the Official Gazette, there is no reason not to schedule them," Dulic added. "I've been notified by State Administration and Local Government Minister Milan Markovic that the necessary bills could be in Parliament early next week," he continued.
