TV B92 Kosovo series ends tonight The program, B92 Investigates, uncovers the details of certain negotiations led by Zoran Lilic during the bombing, with the knowledge and approval of former president, Slobodan Milosevic. The actors in those events also uncover for B92 the theme of discussions when then U.S. president and secretary of state, Bill Clinton and Madelaine Albright, visited Kosovo after the bombing. In late 1999, Clinton came to Kosovo. In addition to meeting Albanian leaders he also spoke with Serb representatives who had stayed in the province, Bishop Artemije and Momcilo Trajkovic. Trajkovic recalls giving Clinton a copy of a magazine with pictures of destroyed Serb churches and monasteries after the NATO bombing. According to him, Clinton then told the Albanian delegation not to tell him what they thought he wanted to hear, and asked them whether churches and monasteries would continue to be destroyed. “He says: ’I know mosques have been demolished, but I’m now asking you about this.’ But it was no use, that’s all we could do. As a state, we had no strategy,“ says Trajkovic. He also describes a meeting with Albright. “When she came out, she said to me, ’Mr. Trajkovic, my father loved one song very much,’ and immediately started singing ’Silent night, my love is sleeping’. And the Serbs outside were chanting ’Treason!’. I said to her: ’Mrs. Albright, I really like music, but I’m really not in the mood for it today,“ remembers Trajkovic. The episode, “On status and standards“ will be aired tonight on B92 at 9 p.m. You can also watch the program on the B92 website, via live stream.
