Dimitrij Rupel and David Miliband have agreed that Serbia needs to be guaranteed a European perspective. The Slovenian foreign minister and British foreign secretary agreed today in London that “Serbia needs to be guaranteed a European perspective as soon as possible,“ said Rupel’s cabinet in a statement. Rupel, Miliband: Serbia needs EU future guarantees Rupel is on a visit to Britain where he talked to Miliband and Minister for Europe Jim Murphy. According to the statement, the ministers focused primarily on the situation in the western Balkans. The Slovenian foreign minister informed his colleagues of his recent meeting with the leaders of Bosnia-Hercegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia, and expressed the desire to stimulate the region’s European integration during his country’s forthcoming EU presidency.
