Former RS President Mirko Sarovic was questioned yesterday over Radovan Karadzic’s possible whereabouts. According to Banja Luka daily Fokus, the Republic of Srpska (RS) Interior Ministry confirmed that Sarovic had been questioned for several hours, and that police investigators had focussed on his ties with the network of individuals thought to be harbouring the Hague fugitive. Former RS president had Karadzic links? The daily also stated that Sarovic, who lives in east Sarajevo, was taken to Banja Luka in a police vehicle and returned home the same way. Sarovic is on an EU and U.S. black list of suspected accomplices to Hague fugitives, and was acquitted of organized and industrial crime charges last year.
