Serbia “waiting on leaders”

“From Boris Tadić, Vojislav Koštunica and Tomislav Nikolić, a clear message is expected, to tell the Serbs in Kosovo whether they should stay or start packing,” Ivanović told B92.

He said that Serbs in Kosovo only get information from the media, and that politicians should not fool with them, but rather give them a clear insight into Belgrade's position about their future status.

“If they tell them to say, then they have to say that Serbia will do everything to make sure that they will be safe and well,” Ivanović said.

He said that Tadić, Koštunica and Nikolić must state, should that be true, that there is a possibility that Kosovo could become independent, because the voters will grade the way in which they behaved towards the Kosovo Serbs in the next set of elections.

“All three of them say that Kosovo is the most important topic. But if this is so, then the people should be most important, and you must address them,” Ivanović said.
