He added that Montenegro remained committed to strengthening regional co-operation, assigning priority to collaboration with Serbia and the fostering of good relations with Priština, regardless of the outcome of Kosovo’s status settlement.

Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović voiced hope that "the agreement's potential wasn’t yet exhausted", as Albert Rohan stressed the determination to provide support for Ahtisaari’s plan within the UN Security Council.

Montenegro wished to see Belgrade and Priština reach a viable long-term  solution via dialogue sponsored by the international community, Monetenegrin Prime Minister Željko Šturanović told Rohan.

“Montenegro favors a solution mutually agreed on by both sides,” he added.

Albert Rohan said that it was too early to come to any conclusions regarding the UN envoy’s plan for Kosovo, given that the discussion on the issue in the UN Security Council was still just beginning.

However, Rohan said he wished the UN SC would approve the plan as such.

Rohan praised Montenegro’s “responsible position” toward the issue of Kosovo and its determination to nurture good relations with both Belgrade and Priština.
