State builds bridge in Sremska Rača

Ilić said that the construction, set to begin on Monday, will be financed by the Serbian government with funds from the National Investment Plan.

The Serbian government said in a statement that the bridge on the Drina river will be built by Intermost, as well as that the deadline for the completion of works was 330 days.

Ilić said this investment will “enable better and faster connections between Serbia and the Republic of Srpska since there have been many delays and ‘black spots’ on this road in the past”.

The bridge will be 400 meters long, 10.9 meters wide and will consist of two automobile and one pedestrian lanes, while the accession road to the bridge (M–18) will be constructed by Srem-Put from Ruma, it was announced.
