G17 Plus won’t enter coalitions
Dinkić said that their campaign will center on “strengthening the economy, fighting unemployment, radical chauvinism and corruption”, as well as making Serbia a EU candidate “in the new government’s first mandate”. He said his party favors a compromise solution for Kosovo, which will, in his words, be realistic, while preserving Serbia’s honor.“I know that many are underestimating us, but it will rain on their parade”, Dinkić told G17 Plus senior council members today, adding that the party’s goal is to win “25 to 30” seats in the new parliament.
Dulić-Marković: Serbia must urgently change
G17 Plus Vojvodina branch chairwoman Ivana Dulić-Marković said Serbia must “urgently change”, since she finds “almost frightening” the developments related to the new constitution, the referendum and the early elections. In an interview with the Novi Sad daily Dnevnik she said it was disheartening to see how easy it was to reach political deals on some issues, while others were far from the consensus.
“Mladić’s arrest is a case in point, European integrations as well, and Vojvodina status”.
She believes the low voter turnout in Vojvodina is a consequence of the Serb Radical Party vice president Tomislav Nikolić’s statement that the constitutional preamble was “Radicals’, the first article was Radicals’, and every reference to Vojvodina – Radicals’”.
“Everyone in the Serbian political scene can play dumb, but it is citizens who won in Vojvodina”, Dulić-Marković said.
