Constitution has no effect on Kosovo

Sejdiu said that the adoption of the Serbian Constitution in which Kosovo is deemed a part of Serbia, presents a kind of “constitutional aggression.”

“But you should take into consideration the answer which the Kosovo Parliament has given, as the highest institution of Kosovo. Serbia cannot be the determining factor in Kosovo.” Sejdiu said.

Prime Minister Ceku said that the internal actions of Serbia cannot have any influence on the status of Kosovo.

“There are signs that the quick announcing of elections can have an effect, not that it will, on the dynamics of the process of confirming the status, on the date for confirming the independence of Kosovo.” Ceku said.

He said that the Albanian side and the international community have “realized” that Serbia is implementing “Four D” politics.

“The first D is discrediting Ahtisaari as a one-sided envoy, discrediting the entire process, the second D is delaying the process as much as possible, which is what they are doing now, the third D is dividing the international community about whether it will proclaim Kosovo independent and the fourth D is the destabilization of Kosovo.” Ceku said.

Suroi said that the adoption of the Serbian Constitution is a political calculation for postponing the status solution and an effort to create divisions within the international community, at the same time causing negative events in Kosovo.
