General Ward and Minister Stanković will sign an Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA). The ACSA is the third significant bilateral military agreement to be signed in 2006, following agreements on non-proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). The ACSA will allow Serbia and the U.S. to exchange supplies and services between military forces, enhancing the ability to support exercises, peace keeping operations, and humanitarian support missions, according to the embassy’s statement. The ACSA will also make it easier in the future for the U.S. to deliver humanitarian aid in instances of catastrophic flooding. General Ward's visit and the signing of the ACSA highlight the growing relationship between the military forces of the U.S. and Serbia.
