Turkey builds wall along border with Iran - report

Turkey has begun building a wall along the country's frontier with Iran, Turkish media reported on Tuesday.

The AP is quoiting "private Dogan news agency as saying Agri Province Governor Suleyman Elban inspected the construction of the security wall on Tuesday."

According to this, Turkey is building a wall that will be "2-meter wide, 3-meter high barrier with portable blocks."

Tanjug cites AP to report that "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced in January plans to build a wall along its borders with Iraq and Iran, similar to the one currently being erected along the 911-kilometer frontier with Syria."
