Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has canceled a planned visit to the U.S. since none of the congressmen there wished to receive her.

U.S. officials "unwilling to meet with Tymoshenko"

Some members of the U.S. Congress who have been contacted by either Tymoshenko or one of her team "even suggested that she should not run in the May 25 presidential elections in Ukraine."

Tymoshenko last week asked the U.S. Congress for military aid, saying that her country needed comprehensive assistance, including of military-technical nature, as well as help in military personnel training.
