BEIJING China’s new Prime Minister Li Keqiang said on Sunday that ensuring sustainable economic growth was the top priority for his government. He also pledged to fight graft, tackle vested interests and called for an end to a cyber-hacking row with the U.S., Reuters has reported. “Sustainable economic growth is China’s priority” At his first press conference since he became a prime minister, Li strongly emphasized the necessity of reforms that would deliver long-term economic stability. “The highest priority will be to maintain sustainable economic growth," Li said at the start of the conference in which he repeatedly stressed the need for economic, social and government reform, Reuters writes. The new Chinese PM also promised to reform capital and finance markets and combat against corruption.
