Syria accepts UN envoy's peace plan

UN Special Rapporteur for Syria Kofi Annan has announced that official Damascus had agreed to his plan for ending the crisis and violence in that country. The plan assumes that all parties will end violence in Syria, allow deliveries of humanitarian aid and free all those who are unlawfully detained. Previously the plan was supported by China, which urged "all sides" in Syria to participate in the negotiating effort of the envoy for the UN envoy and the Arab League and Syria, Kofi Annan, who is currently visiting Beijing.
