The double suicide bombing targeted a paramilitary academy in the northwest of the country. "This was the first revenge for Osama's martyrdom. Wait for bigger attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan," spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told the AFP news agency.

More than 100 other people were injured in the attack.

The attack, which was the deadliest in Pakistan this year, deepens the government's crisis following the killing of bin Laden by U.S. forces on May 2.
